Short film - week 5

Strangers

This short film is strange, ironic isn't. Since the movie is called strangers. This movie didn't have any dialog.
Witch gave it some substance. I really didn't get the movie, and that is probably why i chose it. I love movies you don't get,
because it's so frustrating. But it sucked. The start was really boring, but it got much better.

Black Button

This was a really good movie. It was sorted of out there, and weird. The blood, does't look real. But the message was good.
It was easy to figure out what would happen if he pushed the button. But I was never shore if he would do it.
I chose it because its a good movie that was a little unusual.

The window

I chose this movie, because it was weird, you don't understand anything before the end.
Maybe thats just me being stupid, but I liked it. It was not a good production, it was the story that made it cool.

Today's lecture/task

Find an explanation of the following terms:

VLS / WS = Very Long Shot / Wide Shot shows you where the scene is set.

In this example you can see that the scene is set on a vollyball court.

LS = The Long Shot is good to show where the scene is set (the same as VLS/WS ) but is also showing what is going to happend. Is often used in scene where people are walking or to change the location.

MLS = Medium Long Shot, means from the top of your head to about your knees.

MS = Midshot, this is from the waist and up to the top of your head.

Is good to show WHAT the person is doing. And what the problem is.

MCU = Medium Close Up, this is from your chest and up to the top of your head. This is a good shot to explain an event and answer to the "how" question.

Answer the question HOW. This can aslo be used as a series of medium close ups.

CU = Close up, your neck and face. Good for showing the main characters face. And to introduce him/her.

This answer the question WHO? Who is this person in detail.

BCU = Big Close Up, is a close up of your face. This can help you answer the why question in the movie, usually by revealing more about a person or/and their actions.

Answer the question WHY? usually by revealing more about a person and their actions.

ECU = Extreme Close Up, is a close up of a body part, watch or something else.
Is good to use when you want an dramatic effect.

This video is bad, I made it four years ago. We made the song (that happens to be in norwegian) and made the "music video" (I uploaded it from Snutter a norwegian site, because I didn't have one with me)

I really didn't find anything funny. So I just posted my favorite feel-good song. Enjoy!

This fridge is pretty cool, its just like a robot. It regulates the temperature. And I'm pretty sure that it can talk.. and it makes ice cubes. WOW !

What you see under this text is an PSP. you can play games AND watch a movie.. probably more too.. AMAZING

This is a toaster and a microwave. very convenient.
